2017… A fresh new start to Technophilia

Technophilia Devices Let’s start off with an introduction, 9 Years Ago I had the idea to start off a blog about what I love most… TECHNOLOGY 😀

I went about creating a WordPress Blog and playing around with various themes and ended up getting stuck in a loop of looking through designs and playing around with how it would look. Eventually with every design I tried and tested it still was not what the look I wanted and this kept postponing my creation of this blog. All I did was create the blog in 2008 while Grade 8 kept me busy.

6 Years later in November of 2014 I was in the 2nd Year of studying Information Technology at Cape Peninsula University of Technology, I decided it’s time to put the design aspect aside and start launching my blog. I purchased the Domain and Registered for Hosting. I was now prepared to start blogging and then once again got stuck with a bit of Writer’s Block, my original idea of this blog was to discuss all things about Technology, including Reviews of Products, How-To Guides and common Abbreviations or Terms that the ordinary user would need to know or want to know and this is where the name of the blog comes from.

The name Technophilia which means “The Love of Technology“, which is the opposite of Technophobia which means “The Fear of Technology“. So after wondering about what I would blog about and trying to come up with topics to blog about I then got stuck once again.

I then only published the first blog in February of 2015 with the review of the Huawei P6 while still playing with various concepts of how I would start my Blogging Adventure.

I am now back on 17th of March 2017 and ready to start up Technophilia. If you have any hardware or software products and services you would like reviewed or discussed. Feel free to drop me an email on:

Huawei P6 Review

I have been using this Huawei P6 as my Personal phone for the last approximately 10 months now and I have loved it. It is a relatively cheap Smartphone if you take in to account the Specifications it has. It is quite a powerful phone and compares with the likes of the Samsung Galaxy S4 and has almost similar specs in terms of power but it is like half the price.

The Huawei P6 was the chinese manufacturer Huawei’s first Flagship phone, this phone had huge sales and left many stores having to order as they kept running out of stock. I had to wait like a week before mine was available.
